Privacy Policy

PrivacyCamCut ("the app") is designed to protect privacy, starting with your own. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: the app processes everything on your device, and the developer (1Moby Co., Ltd.) does not collect, receive, store, or share any of your data.
Data we collect
None. PrivacyCamCut has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no developer servers. We do not collect personal data, usage data, or device identifiers.
How the app uses device features
- Camera & microphone — used only to capture the live video and audio you choose to preview, record, or stream. Frames are redacted on device before they are shown, saved, or sent.
- Photo library — the app reads a video only when you pick one to edit, and writes a video only when you choose to save a redacted export.
- Face detection — performed on device to locate faces for redaction (see Face data below).
- Text recognition (OCR) — performed on device so you can redact phone numbers, addresses, and other text. Recognized text is never logged, exported, or transmitted.
Face data
PrivacyCamCut detects faces on your device (using Apple's Vision framework) so it can blur or mask them. This detection is transient and is never stored.
If you choose to register a face (the "People" / "Register a face" feature), the app creates an on-device face print — a numeric Vision feature-print, not a photo or image of your face. The app stores only this numeric feature-print, the name you type, and the redaction preference you select. No face photo, crop, thumbnail, or raw frame is ever stored.
Face prints are used only on your device to recognize that person again and apply the redaction you selected. They are never uploaded and never shared with us or any third party, are excluded from device and iCloud backups, and are deleted when you forget the face or delete the app. We (the developer) never receive any face data, and face prints are never used for identification, advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the on-device redaction you choose.
Live streaming
If you start a live stream, the app sends your already-redacted video and audio to the streaming destination (RTMP/RTMPS server) that you enter. That destination is operated by you or a third party of your choosing, and is subject to that provider's own privacy practices. The app does not route your stream through any server operated by the developer. Stream keys you enter are stored only in the Keychain on your device and are never logged, exported, or shown again.
Data sharing & third parties
We do not share data with anyone, because we do not collect any. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Your control
You can revoke camera, microphone, or photo access at any time in Settings (iPhone/iPad) or System Settings (Mac). Registered faces can be removed at any time with "Forget this face" inside the app. Videos you create stay on your device unless you choose to save, share, or stream them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
